Amelia was at the barracks of the Second Division, training with some of her fellow female squad members. She was focusing on combat, particularly her zanjutsu, which she severely lacked skill in. She was learning to quickly switch between her sealed state and her shikai so that she could quickly switch from melee combat to long range attacks. She was also working on one of the techniques she was trying to master, Hitosume: Nadegirl. Since the technique required both speed and strength the spar she was currently in was a good way to develop both areas.

She had been trying for the past hour and called a break, so that she didn't have an attack. Walking over to the nearest wall she collapsed, breathing heavily and she tried to relax and rest a bit.
"Maybe I should call it a day so Mama won't have to worry" she mumbled to herself

Minoru had been spending the majority of his time since the incident of Takami`s betrayal to himself out in the various districts of Rukongai. No matter how he tried to occupy himself the incident haunted him, since then Minoru had already grown to be a more angry person much to the distaste of his zanpakuto spirit Yawe, but she understood his pain like no other. Finally having decided to go check in with the squad Minoru took off towards Seireitei and Squad 2 barracks using shunpo, every burst of speed causing his wounds from the encounter with the two espada to burn in pain.

Not too long after Minoru headed out he arrived at the barracks and went directly to his room to his dresser and opened it to grab some fresh wrappings to re-wrap the wounds, he couldn't understand why but they still refused to heal completely so he had to redress them multiple times a day. After re-wrapping the wounds and trashing the old crimson blood soaked bandages Minoru headed out into the training grounds to see what the squad was up too.

After getting out to the grounds Minoru watched as Amelia finished up what-ever training she had been doing. He assumed she called a stop in order to prevent her illness from acting up. Minoru watched as she walked over to a wall and basically collapsed against it, her breathing seemed a bit pressured.

Walking over to her Minoru took a seat beside her and spoke up, his voice toneless, How's the training going Amelia?? Though genuinely interested in her progress Minoru's voice just didn't convey the interest. It was almost like he had stopped showing outward emotion since the two incidents involving the female Espada Colbolt, the most recent ending in the betrayal of one whom Minoru considered a close friend.

Amelia looked up when Minoru approached her
"Oh Lieutenant Minoru. I haven't been doing too badly" she said before sitting up a bit straighter"How have you been doing though? You haven't been the same since Lieutenant Taka left us. I know you two were close friends so..." she trailed off, a little too scared to finish her sentence

When Minoru had asked Amelia how the training was going she had answered that it hadn't been going to bad. Minoru noticed her sit up straighter before asking how Minoru himself had been since Takami's betrayal.. though she hadn't used those exact words it still stung slightly. Minoru's gaze dropped to the ground as he subconsciously trailed his hand across the scar formed form when Takami had slashed him.

With a heavy sigh Minoru looked up to Amelia, his jade eyes held a swirling amount of emotion that Minoru had been trying to control. With slightly ragged breaths as the emotions came forth Minoru answered her, I've been... better... its been hard... Minoru didn't know what else to say without revealing the multitude of emotions that had been coursing through him since that day.

To be honest... I've spent a lot of time to myself lately... for good reason... Minoru thought back to a period of training a few days ago after his last attempt to train before hand.. but he had met up with Tomo. The following day minoru had ventured back out into the further reaches of Rukongai to train... the result was complete and utter destruction of the secluded area he had chosen. With a dull whisper Minoru spoke up again.. I've come to notice its not a good idea to train.... when dealing with... His voice trailed off, he was unsure if he should tell her about his struggles with the emotions within him.

"You remember when I told you of my past, when I was in the world of the living" Amelia said looking up at him"One of the things I hated most was having no one to talk to about the things that bothered me. I lived in an isolated world compared to everyone else. But it's been different since I came here. I find I can talk to Mama and some of the other division members and it's easier on me. You seem to have closed up though, as if you're scared of telling others how you feel. But how can you feel better if others can't help you and how can others help you if they don't know what's wrong?"

Minoru listened to Amelia as she spoke, he knew what she said made plenty of sense, yet he just couldn't open up about what had happened. Amelia I thank you for your kindness... but everytime I even think of what happened.... As Minoru spoke his reiatsu subconsciously began to flare, when he noticed he was quick to seal his reiatsu to prevent the winds from hurting Amelia. Once his reiatsu was sealed he looked to Amelia, his now gold/jade eyes held mountains of pain, guilt, anguish, and anger. Every time... I begin to lose control... this is why I cannot speak of what bothers me Amelia.. I fear what I may do if I truly lost control... Minoru laced his fingers together and rest his elbows on his knees before resting his face in his hands, a heavy sigh escaped his lips as well as a soft sob.

Amelia looked at Minoru for second before sighing
"You know I doubt you should be having that Lieutenant's Badge if you let something like this effect you so much that you can't even control your reiatsu" she said" I still remember my history lessons from the academy. When the 4th, 5th, and 9th divisions were betrayed their Lieutenants kept going, even though each of them were close to their captains who betrayed them. If I recall one of those Lieutenants even admired her captain so much she still believed he was innocent. But she still fought and she could still keep herself in control. If you can't even control the simplest things like your reiatsu or your emotions you should hand your badge over to my mother and let someone else take your position. Someone the rest of us won't worry about when it comes to a time of crisis and you're the one in charge."

Compared to everything else Amelia had just said, those words were the ones to sting the most, they made too much sense, but Minoru knew deep down that it was true... if he could not reign in control over himself he no longer had the right what-so-ever to be Captain Amaya's Lieutenant. With a drawn out sigh Minoru looked up from his hands and turned to Amelia, ...Your right... if I can't get myself through this... I have no right to be Captain Amaya's Lt... but that doesn't mean I am ready to talk about what bothers me Amelia... When I am ready... I will speak of it, but for now... I must find my own way to deal with this..

Minoru pushed himself off the wall and rose to his feet and looked down to Amelia before speaking softly, his voice held more hope than it had in a while, Thank you Amelia.. I mean it... if it weren't for your words.. I don't know how much longer it would take me to deal with this.. so again, thank you. I will not let you nor Captain Amaya down... Minoru then smiled a sincere smile, something that hadn't occurred in quite a while.

Amelia sighed and stood up as well, grabbing her zanpaktou and then using it, while still sheathed, to hit Minoru on the head
"Baka" she said" You're still stubbornly thinking you can handle this yourself. Swallow that damn pride of yours and accept the help that's been offered to you. Otherwise you'll just end but being weaker and weaker, since you'll end up just failing over and over again. We're shinigami, we only grow stronger when we work together."

'Thwack' For just a moment the sound of Amelia's sheathed zanpakuto striking Minoru over the head resounded throughout the training area, causing some of the unseated members to turn their head in Minoru&Amelia's direction.

Before Amelia could start speaking Minoru turned to the training members, rubbing his head and shouted, What ya looking at?! Shouldn't you all be training! With that the members turned back to their training and picked up their pace.

Turning to Amelia, Minoru listened as she first called him an idiot/baka, then went on to say that if he kept trying to do things alone he would become weaker because of his own stubborn pride. Her last words stuck out most though 'We're shinigami, we only get stronger working together.'

With a sigh, and still rubbing his head Minoru sat back down, his mind wondering, trying to figure out how to voice what was bothering him without entailing every detail. So be it Amelia.. when I can figure out the easiest way to explain things I will.. okay? Minoru sighed slightly before looking up to the girl, ..I promise I will speak to you and Captain Amaya about it when I can. Minoru hoped this would calm Amelia, she was becoming quite agrivated with him, and he was worrying that it might somehow spark one of her attacks.
