The white fortress

Nothing ever happened here. It was always so boring. What was there to be expected of it? Nobody was stupid enough to attack the fortress itself. The only enemy strong enough to do so was Soul Society; and even then, they would not escape without massive losses. Their power was tied, but even then, the Shinigami were much too shrewd to assault the Arrancar directly. Currently, they had issues of their own to worry about...

But something did attack.

A terrible flash of horrific red light tore through the outer fortress's wall, blasting through the wall and melting the stone to a glowing molten liquid. The force of the blast was so fast that gale force winds erupted from the source of the blast; a man in the distance, still surrounded by the white dunes of sand, shrouded by a massive wolf-fur pelt cloak. The continued blast of cero leveled the entire outer area of the desert, flattening the sands and blasting the dunes behind him in a rising dirty cloud, as curious Hollows began to flee from what the knew only to be a superior predator than themselves. When the cero finally cleared, a gigantic hole was left in the wall, through which several dozen Arrancar poured through.

In a swift motion, his cloak came off of the large shoulder plate on his right side, connected only to the back of the left plate now. It danced behind him in a long, oversized plume, and the half-masked soldiers charging at him suddenly ceased to a halt, nearly stumbling in the sands as their mouths gaped open.

The giant threw up a thick, muscle bronzed arm, and sickly contortions ruptured from beneath the skin, running down the entire right half of his body. From each rising welt of flesh sprewed forth bone-encased protrusions, slowly cracking and crackling beneath his skin, as 36 whole fragments jutted from the arm and torso in a mass so thick it was difficult to discern the rest of the man's form, lingering at the base of the huge mass, before it exploded in a violent torrent of blood.

Gushing red waves of fluid washed over the Arrancar, staining the sand so thickly it appeared as though it were flooding, and when it was over the man stood as he had before, only this time soaked in his own blood... and accompanied by thirty siz blades, all shaped like giant cleavers and machetes, swirling around him in a manner that was impossibly deadly. He stepped forth, the swords shredding three of the Arrancar to bits simply as they moved with Revenger, tearing the first few apart. The bone casings were still being shed by some of the blades, falling down and contrasting sharply against the blood red sand.

The first one he grabbed, he picked up into the air and literally ripped in half, digging his other hand through the fat soldier's rear and taking hold of his pelvis before using it as a grip to literally tear him in two. The halves were dropped aside idly, and a lanky, purple haired Arrancar charged the blond sun-tanned giant with his zanpakuto drawn. Revenger appeared only to move in a blur, throwing sixty eight punches at the foe, leaving dents all over the front of the man's body and shattering the zanpakuto with his bare fists. The corpse that fell below swelled rapidly, before gushing with blood, it's massive bruises popping like zits beneath the enormous pressure of the blows inflicted upon his flesh. Revenger's point was beginning to come across, as four of the remaining thirty two ran away.

The blood rose, pouring out in gallons rapidly from the surface of Revenger's mighty body, swirling around him like a whirlpool. There was far more blood coming from him than what his body seemed capable of containing; he was generating this blood, growing it so rapidly he could dish out rivers of it in mere seconds! The spiraling mass swallowed twenty seven of the Arrancar, but the other eight still managed to evade it, and ran charging back into the fortress; two escaped for certain, vanishing with a steady stream of sonido flash steps, leaving behind only a trail of urine as they pissed their once white pants. The whirlpool then swelled, crystallizing and becoming solid, as the suddenly hard masses condensed around the couple-dozen Arrancar trapped within and literally compacted their bodies, crushing every inch of the feeble soldiers. The crystallized mass appeared like some small, spiny red hill of bloody glass, but it was moving. Moving with Revenger, with every step, as he continued to make his way to the entrance he'd blasted into Las Noches itself. The final six Arrancar lined up at the hole and nervously made their final stand in a mix of sweat and tears. One was whimpering, but Revenger knew all of them wanted to whimper. Perhaps he felt sorry for them, because their end was to be quick indeed. Blood was bubbling beneath the huge, thirty something foot tall bulwark of spiny blood crystals, pushing it up hundreds of feet into the black night sky like a geyser before it sharply pushed it forward, and then began to drive the crystals downward in a roaring mass of crystallized bodies encased in the huge mass, all being propelled by an utterly tremendous jet of blood... all of which was heading towards the hole itself, and the six Arrancars within. The mass fell on them before they had any chance of escape, and blood stained what remained of the walls as the stone passage collapsed on itself. But then the crystals began to crow menacingly even as they had claimed five more lives, before detonating in a thunderous burst. Blood and sharp fragments of the liquid shot outwards, and the sheer force of the explosion caused a chunk of the outer area to collapse like a sand castle struck by a foot. Granted, it was only a dent compared to the size of the fortress... but to those who resided in the outer wall, this was an unprecedented disaster, leaving ruin in it's wake as Revenger stepped over the rubble and into the fortress.

But then, something unexpected rose from a mass of rock enshrouded by dust and debris, a lone survivor. A pudgy, but also quite muscly Arrancar, with curly orange hair and a bird's beak as a mask. Tired yellow eyes glared forth at Revenger with tiny pupils, and although missing an arm and several distinct chunks of his body, the Arrancar was alive and regenerated so quickly that the lost limbs returned in moments, but were scarred and slightly deformed from the strenuous recovery. It appeared to be a strong regeneration specialist. Revenger smiled, clapping his hands. A bloodsword flew into his open palms as he prepared to give the impressive survivor a final fight with some respect for his survivability, but the next action brought a frown to his lips.

The Arrancar drew forth his hand, and shoved it into his mouth in an insane and sloppy way, slobbering all over it as he yanked out a single molar from his jaw before presenting it to Revenger. He crushed it, revealing a small red orb, and pushed it like a button. In an instant, an alarm began to blare throughout Las Noches.

"Intruder! Intruder! The outer wall has been breached in the northern sector! All Arrancars and Espada move immediately to the combat zone! This is not a drill! We are under attack by the Shinigami!"

The alarm generally summed it up, although not in a manner that pleased Revenger. He was rather looking forward to announcing his own arrival. But this would probably be faster; except, that he was no Shinigami. The alarm must have been pre-set otherwise they'd surely know he was an Arrancar himself... and yet, perhaps it had simply been something the orange haired. bird beaked soldier had done to get the attention of his comrades more quickly, perhaps. "You will die." He spat forth, choking up some blood from his previous wounds. "The Espada will come. The others will be here before you know it, and when they are, I'll slink away and wait for the chance to finish you off." He cursed, charging a bright yellow cero. Now that was odd. His color was the same as Revenger's. But, as much as he liked the survivor, he couldn't just let him ruin the ending he'd planned for the orange-haired Arrancar. Revenger responded by firing his own cero before the Arrancar could shoot his; he'd been charging it since the Arrancar took the tooth, and this time the cero was bright golden yellow, similar to the cero the guard had been preparing!

Only the lower half of the soldier was struck, but it was blown clean off. The torso made a thud against the ground, still living and breathing... "I will permit you to heal. You will not run. When the others do come, I want you to tell them what I did; I spare you now because you are the only witness. Now, continue to watch, and commit my coming legend to memory... I am Revenger, and I am going to wipe this monument of injustice off the sands of Hueco Mundo, and heal it of this eyesore!" Revenger shouted back, to which a glint of fear was now seen in the guard's eyes. His pain prevented him from doing much at all. His regeneration was slower this time. But it was still impressive that he had survived it at all, and could perhaps recover... all of this being Revenger's design, of course. As much as he groaned, however, he never took his eyes off the giant and his long, flowing blonde hair, whom was now curiously unstained by blood at all even though almost everything around him was utterly soaked in the blood of the other Arrancars. He didn't take his eyes off Revenger for an instant; it was the only thing keeping him alive. If he failed that purpose, he knew he would surely perish, and that giant would swoop down on him and flatten his skull in the most gruesome manner he could imagine if he did not watch...

I would of been there sooner if my instincts had not of told me to hang back and watch I tend to listen to them since I have honed them over my 3000 years of living. So I saw every little thing after the first cero the invading arrencar did. Hmmm he seems to be fairly strong he would be good prey or a hunting partner. That arrencar is worthless.

With that I sonido over to the legless arrencar and place a open hand over his face about 30cm above it while saying. "you did a good job of getting this far. I am here so you can leave now!" As soon as he heard the last part his face which was beginning to show some hope fall maybe due to the way my eyes looked over my mask fragment shaped like a tiger mouth cold and unforgiving the eye of a hunter or it may be the way I said the last part but most likely it was due to the spike in my reiatsu and the glow of my cero a mix of white, black and that tan orange that tigers have. I then fire the cero point blank into his face destroying it and making a good size hole God knows how deep under where the head use to be.

I look up and tug on my gloves that reach above my elbow that has a metal plate on the back of the hands also there are some arm guards as well the rest of me is decked out in what a hunter ninja would wear. My white wind blown spiked hair moved ever so lightl and a eye brow rises as I address the intruder. "sorry about that but can not have such weak prey in a pack so I had to do a little cleaning. What about you why are you here and what do you plan on doing?"

Revenger didn't answer the Arrancar. Marcus had now killed the witness, and that meant that Marcus would have to be the new witness. But he didn't need arms or legs for that...

Six of Revenger's bloodswords rushed out to him, cutting along his own midsection causing blood to gush forth profusely from the wounds. It soaked the surrounding area, and yet, Revenger steadily healed as a shallow pool of blood covered the room. It then seemed to warm up, rising and shifting, before massive clouds of red gas swarmed throughout the room. Revenger was turning the blood into blood gas!

Soon, a red blanket of fog enshrouded the entire area, making it nearly impossible to see. Revenger's own body was smothered in blood as he vanished with a sonido, and soon, four Revengers were running around Marcus.... three were blood dolls, and only one was the real Revenger, but there was little to no way of telling which was which. Each wielded bloodswords, and all maintained a distance of seventeen feet from him, running in circles and elipses around him as the Bloodswords came into position, hiding in the fog.

Revenger and his blood dolls blended in with the red mists, which if Marcus breathed, would reduce his respiration by half, making it several times more difficult to just inhale; the Arrancar would know a sensation of constantly being out of breath. All the while, twenty seven Bloodswords were positioned above and around Marcus, the eyes in the fleshy jagged weapons watching him like two dozen flying cameras. Then, the assault began.

The first blood doll jumped behind Marcus, while Revenger ran towards him and swung a single hand-held bloodsword at the Arrancar's knee. The massive clever swept in quickly at the joint with tremendous, terrifying force; the blood doll however swung downwards at the base of Marcus's right shoulder with another bloodsword, just as the two other blood dolls appeared at Marcus's sides. One swung at Marcus's other knee, the other went for the other shoulder. It was obviously an attempt to cut off all his limbs.

The alarm went off. That was the moment Cross rose from his nap. Scratching his cheek, the number 4 was no longer there. The number was in fact "1" but horizontally across his face. The red ink was fresh, almost still scabbing from the needle. "An intruder? Who in their right minds would attack this base?" As he finished the sentence, a lowly wolf like arrancar came running in breath hard. "Sir! There has been a mass murder! A Arrancar is attacking everything at the front gates, Hurry come on!" The dog arrancar swayed towards Cross as he asked him to stand and follow him. Cross turned to his left, grabbing his robe and blade. Slowly putting them on as he yawns. "If he really wants to challenge this place, then there is no need for such a rush."

"Primera sir! Hurry! We cannot let this man destroy Las Noches!" The wolf arrancar said once again, running down the halls. It wasn't a combat arrancar, just an informant, or security guard per se. Cross slowly walked down the hall, not even in the rush that he needs to be. "if he wants it so badly he can wait." Cross said, while releasing some of his reiatsu just to make the revenger thirst. This is what he wanted. The Revenger came here, just to see the power of the esapda, or destroy it too. Who cares right? Cross's blade dragged across the sand as he goes down the steps slowly.

"This is just bothering me so much. Why would a lowly Arrancar of this power not be apart of the Espada? Can you just feel the power from him?" he said calmly to the wolf. He closed his eyes as he transferred through the massive building. Something was just not right about this situation. Cross just shook his head, nothing could be said at this moment to lighten to mood, not even a pervy tasteless joke. He finally reaches the man gate to see a mist as red as blood. "So where is the guy? Is there something I am missing or.." Cross spotted 4 things in the mist, no 5. One was standing there while the other 4 were jumping towards the standing figure. Cross just stood there, looking into the mist.

I was waiting for the intruder to reply but I must say I did not expect for him to cut himself with his own weapons. I then draw 2 of the 3 zans that I have the ones on each hip for I have faced prey that have done something along the same line to attack it never hurts to be weary around things like this. I rise one eyebrow as I see the blood laying on the ground start to turn to most. That dam intruder faded into I closed my eyes for they are useless at the moment I focus on hearing, scent and movement of air to tell me what he up to. I count one, two, there no four different sets of feet around me.

Then my instincts tell me that there going to be attacks from four different angles and to move NOW! so I turn to reduce the area facing the attack and with my two zans deflect two of the attacks one high one low harmlessly away from me and the other two completely miss. Well that what I had planed on doing but I still ended up with two major cuts. One on my left knew with the deepest part on the inside of it I just barely get away with my leg in one piece the way it is at the moment it nearly useless. The same thing happened with my left arm while not as bad it still will interfere with that arm movement. The two attacks deflect are still deflected but it feels like my bones in born arms all of them will turn into powder if I do that too many times more. I do a small sonido hop to get some space.

I then start to charge a gran ray by placing the zan in my left hand in the ground next to me. As soon as the gran ray is fully formed I then eat it. A second or two after all my muscles gain bulk and definition and because of that two things happen one is my speed and power increase and two due to the growth the cuts have closed a little stopping the bleeding. I then do a sonido lunge with sharpen reiatsu on my zans where I had last heard a noise of one of the attackers. It only then I notice the effect the blood mist has on my breathing for I had automaticly switched the way I was breathing as soon as the intake was changed. I only notice it due to the fact that I was running out of breath a lot sooner then normal due to the extra work.

Responding to Marcus's movements, the bloodswords slowly moved with him, watching him through the mist. By using sonido he had actually moved towards the swords, and three now surrounded him. One bloodsword swung around, attempting to chop through the bicep of his upper right arm, whilst another slashed vertically along his spine. A third sword dived below, attempting to skewer his left hip.

Revenger and his three blood dolls were all identical to one another... he stood for a moment, sniffing at the air. He already knew where Marcus was. He smelled new blood, different blood, apart from the scent of the rest. A voracious, fanged smile spread joyously across his face, and in a simultaneous motion of sonido the blood dolls were gone again. One ran directly towards Marcus, throwing his bloodsword at Marcus's right shin and then leaping towards him with a kick at the Arrancar's chest cavity. The second blood doll jumped up high and fell towards Marcus, swooping down in a huge slash as it attempted to chop through Marcus's shoulder. Revenger then moved stealthily behind Marcus, tossing his bloodsword to the third blood doll and quickly taking his shot; in less than a second, 100 punches were thrown towards Marcus, 13 for each vertebrae in his spine. Each punch was strong enough to crack stone. But that wasn't all he did. Revenger was moving in a huge, blonde and taned blur, his arms impossible to even track. And as each new second passed, 100 new punches were being thrown at Marcus's back. In a mere ten seconds, one thousand punches were thrown, all towards the back of the Arrancar.

The third blood doll caught Revenger's bloodsword, holding it together with his own as blood rose from the floor and onto each blade, pulsating and swiling loudly as the blood doll swung both blades at the same time; except, Marcus was out of range. The blood doll was nearly 30 feet away. But as the swords were swung, a massive wave of blood 12 feet tall came whistling towards Marcus, slicing through the air at high speeds. It cut the floor, slicing the tiles in half where it moved; the blood was fired off of the blades with so much force that it cut stone like it was nothing. And it was moving straight for Marcus's right side. After doing this, the Blood Doll threw both bloodswords at Marcus, one towards his right shoulder and the other at his right foot.

The third Blood Doll then lunged at Marcus, attempting to grab him; as it moved, crystalline spears began to rise from it's skin, as it began to crystallize. The other blood dolls were crystallizing as well, and Revenger drew a huge golden-dark axe from behind his wolf-pelt cloak, shedding the blood that hid him and revealing that he was the real one. The bade of the massive, 1.1250 pound axe glowed a faint purple as he clutched it, and he rose it easily; then, in a single massive swoop downwards, the axe came crashing down towards Marcus's head.

ooc: It should be only eating others ceros, not your own.]]

Cross took off the top of his robes, throwing them on the sand behind him. "They're going to get destroyed anyway, so i'll just save'em." The sand dips into the ground as the weighted robes hit it. Rolling his eyes, he walked forward near the mist with his hands in his pockets. Taking a deep breath, he stopped at the edge of the mist. "Alright alright "intruder". Come out, let's have a reasonable talk first before we do any blood shed." He stretched his arms some more, leaning to the left and right.

Clapping his hands, he leaned back and forth on his heels and toes. Biting his lower lip, he flared his reiatsu, trying to get the attention of the attacker. "come on big boy. I know you want this." reiatsu worms slowly form off Cross's shoulders, four on each side. They drooled with acid as the sand burns from the dripping. The smoke rises to Cross's nostrils as he takes a deep breath in, smelling the burnt sand. "ugh. Something I cannot get used to.." Making a crude expression, he stands there, holding his hands on his hips waiting for something to happen.

[ OOC: You're a little inactive, Marcus, and we can't wait on you. Sorry but we're moving on. You can reply later if you want, as long as your returning post contains no attacks because from now until your return you are not a part of this thread. ]

Revenger could sense a new presence, the strongest he had felt here so far, a reiatsu greater than his own... but held by a body much weaker. Revenger did not see him. Instead, he merely sensed Cross, as he sensed all objects surrounding him. Once done with Marcus, Revenger's blood dolls were reaching the end of their lifespan, and with a thunderous lunged all three followed him as he jumped high above the primera, nearly 150 feet above the ground, although the cloud of blood gas was so great that he was still inside of it.

The blood gas clustered around Cross, sucking the oxygen from the air, and pushing to invade his lungs; the difference in power between he and Revenger was only minor, and wouldn't save him from the shortness of breath and steady loss of stamina that being in the clouds entailed. The red fog grew thicker as Revenger came down in the air, as if more blood was being added to it. In reality, it was. blood was gushing from Revenger bursting literally from his veins and through his skin in razor-sharp jets, forming a massive pool in the air so huge it must've been at least 120 gallons, plus whatever he'd taken from the dead bodies lying around. It was a huge, swollen mass!

Wide arcs fired off of the giant mass of blood, three long, thin streams swooping in towards Cross, each one with cutting power great enough to slash through stone with jet-like propulsion. But this was just a front. The mass of blood, containing both Revenger and all 3 Blood Dolls, quickly formed a sheet of Blood Ice at it's lower half, dividing into 300 sharp red icicle spears. They paused for a second, before blasting outwards in a thunderous expulsion, each one zooming around towards Cross like a volley of missiles. Each individual spear was propelled by a stream of blood shooting behind it, sending it forward just like a rocket. Their only target was Cross, aiming for every point on his body that they could cover...

However, the bloodice-missiles were not alone. "Discordia!" Revenger shouted, blanketing the entire area where Cross stood and the surrounding zone with a pulsating surge of dark red energy and static, nullifying whatever reiatsu it came into contact with; this would prevent cero, bala, or even the reiatsu worms from deterring the missiles. At that same moment, the three blood dolls launched themselves forward, each one entirely crystallized now.

The first landed near Cross's feet, missing his body, but exploding promptly afterwards in a huge flurry of razor-sharp blood crystals and a powerful release of kinetic force. The two others then fell to him, attempting to grab both his arms before self-detonating, releasing equivalent blasts of force and shards. Ten bloodswords rushed in after the rock shattering explosions in a swirling circle around Cross, each blade lunging at his body; one shot for the left achilles tendon on Cross's leg, the second moved to stab at his right calf and slash upwards at his leg, the third swooped in beneath his armpit to thrust inwards at the interior of it, the fourth, fifth, and sixth shot towards Cross's back like spears, the seventh dashed horizontally cross his lower stomach, the eighth swung down at his right wrist, the ninth zoomed around his face from behind in a lunging thrust aimed to sever his nose and cut his cheek, and the tenth came at Cross's side spinning wildly like a giant buzzsaw, so fast it appeared only as a whirling disc of metal. It moved to chop at his left arm, in a path towards his eyes.

A hellish roar screamed from above, shouted by none other than Revenger himself, as he held a brightly glowing red bloodsword and his axe in the other. The sword appeared strange, as if a cero were coursing through it... and the glow was growing brighter as time passed, too. Landing just a few feet from Cross, Revenger charged at him like a bull, and swung his axe down like a guillotine towards Cross's neck.
