Anamist sat atop a massive tree branch from one of the monstrous trees in the Menos Forest, knowing the age of the trees was near impossible- the forest was as old as anything he knew; and he was quite old himself. He sat at the very edge of the branch, comfortably on the unnaturally thick moss. His posture was unique, out of place and very "correct"

Arrancar or hollows by nature, didn't possess the intellect or desire to be correct or polite- in fact most were repulsive and should just die. Anamist was that unusual Arrancar who desired cleanliness and proper etiquette; he had killed hollow and arrancar for a lot less than forgetting to excuse themselves proper from his presence. He was here now and in the present, his riaetsu was hidden from those except the most astute in riaetsu detection- to his knowledge, only a few such beings possessed that potential. All of which were not likely in his area or desired confrontation with him- only one person had the potential to find him not matter what, no matter how much he tried to hide.

Below him was a group of hollows and a couple adjuchtas, they were doing what he had done so many centuries ago; the process of evolution. Even now they were engaged in battle, trying desperately to win against the rest in an all-out battle. The victors would eat the losers and then restart the process with the other victors until only one of them remained. It was a barbaric process indeed, but a necessary one for any hollow's evolution- one that Anamist often exploited to his personal gain. Hollows by nature were twisted souls who couldn't reach Seiretei for some reason or another. They were lost souls and needed guidance; what better guidance could he give than give them no choice but to become part of him?

He laughed silently to himself, it was ironic that a being such as him was watching them for little amusement but for his insatiable hunger. It was true that humans tasted the best, with shinigamis being the second best- hollows tasted terrible, but much more filling. They were comprised of many souls and would temporarily sate his near-uncontrollable hunger: this way he wouldn't attack any humans against his will.

He leaned sideways suddenly as a red beam of a cero passed by his face, his previous seat had been destroyed by the cero blast and now he was standing parallel o the tree's bark. His feet rested firmly against the side of the tree as he looked straight ahead to continue his watch of the battle. The two Adjuchtas were obviously winning, already only a few hollows remained- likely the adjuchtas would work in a somewhat cohesive team until only they remained. Sure enough, after an hour; only the two Adjuchtas remained, and they were very tired from the prolonged fight. Anamist was holding his stomach, trying to hold himself back and let them decide the voctor before he moved in to eat the survivor.

The shorter Adjuchtas was a quick fellow who sported blades, while the others was a massive being who favored his fists: the little one was too quick for his slow fists to make a single solid hit. Before too long, the bigger one was too wounded to attack and wailed in protest as he small Adjuchtas ate him. The being roared with a bestial vigor as it considered itself the strongest; little did it know, a stronger being was watching it with red hungry eyes that scrutinized its every move.

After a moment for allowing proper digestion, Anamist assumed it was his turn to play; he jumped down from the tree with one step and stood before the Adjuchtas.

Congrats on your victory, that was quite the speed you displayed.

The adjuchtas tensed for a moment, but felt only the remnants to Anamist's riaetsu and assumed he was much much weaker. It brandished its bladded arms and taunted Anamist.

So, now that my main course is finished, the desert shows up!

It rushed Anamist in a hurry and slashed, it thought  it had him when its blades passed through his form. Its surprise was complete when it felt nothing but air, it blinked and Anamist was no longer in front of it.

Quite rude, not even allowing me a formal introduction...

The Ajuchtas turned with a back-slash with both bladed arms, only to be stopped cold by one white gloved hand from the butler. Anamist used his other hand to shift the weight of his bone glasses as he smiled coldly at the Adjuchtas.

I...am the butler, Anamist Souigetsu. A displeasure on your part, of course.

Anamist whipped the blades around and striked the Adjuchtas with his hand, his gloved hand went straight through the chest of the Adjuchtas. The monster seemed surprised and horrified, it struggled but to no avail. Now was its turn to wail in agony as it felt Anamist's teeth sink deeply into its unprotected bone shoulder.

"You there! What're you doing in my territory?! I'll kill you!"

An Adjuchas roared aloud in my direction, threatening to kill me if I didn't leave its territory. Was his name etched into this land? What right was he given to call this territory his own? I wondered this to myself as I nonchalantly looked in the direction of the Adjuchas who was shaped as that of the human figure. Well ain't that cute. He looks like an Arrancar, but he is way too weak to think about taking one on himself. This will be too easy. I then spoke back to the Adjuchas in a stern manner.

"Well now, someone's a badass around here. I'm not sure who exactly made you king of this shithole you call your territory, but I got news for ya. You are nothing. You will never be anything. You will die on this day for picking a fight with a being who was simply passing through. You will learn your place."

After I finished speaking, I began walking toward the Adjuchas with a grin stretched across my face. However the grin didn't last very long due to her beliefs kicking in. My thoughts became cold and my spiritual pressure flooded from my body (roughly 50% of the full pressure). I didn't want to have to fight today. I truly didn't. I had already dug the hole this time though, so there was no turning back. I had to put the creature out of its misery. I had to climb out of the hole and I was a woman of my word. Too bad for this Adjuchas. It picked a bad day to pick a fight.

The beast roared in anger at the words I spoke to it, letting out its spiritual pressure and looking back toward me after finishing its very obnoxiously loud roar.

"Kill me?! HA! I'd lik-"

He stopped mid-sentence just as I released my spiritual pressure and blood was spewed from its mouth due to the force that was placed on it. The poor creature. It had no idea what it was up against. I felt bad for it, but I couldn't go back on my word. The most I could do was give it a quick death. Thinking such, I sonido'd to the creature and peered down at its form. It looked completely helpless. It couldn't move or speak. Its eyes were wide and filled with fear. I pitied the feeble creature.

"You picked the wrong day to pick a fight, young creature. I pity your weakness. That's why I am going to end your existence here and now. You don't need to suffer anymore. Die. Be at peace."

I then bent down and gripped its head with my two capable hands; I knew that it was going to thank me as it left its horrid existence as a Hollow. In the beginning, I didn't even want to be such a disgusting creature. I was alone in a land filled with death. However, like most Hollow who have a will to survive, I ate and ate and ate until I finally arrived as an Arrancar. I killed many creatures like this Adjuchas. I felt no emotion for the longest time, but something changed in me that allowed me to break away from my nihilistic emotions and I began to learn and build upon myself. I knew the pain of survival these creatures had to go through and often times it made me sick to my stomach. For the sake of this creature, I had to kill it. To end its suffering. That, to me, is justice. I then tore its head clean off and dropped it. As I walked away, the body and head turned to dust and then became nothing.

"Rest in peace."

After I killed the creature, I noticed a familiar spiritual pressure. I felt it in my heart, and yet, I knew not why it seemed to be familiar to me. Perhaps it was the reason I was walking in this direction for several hours. There was something...or someone...I was drawn to meet. There was only one way to find out, so I continued on my straight path to the familiar reiatsu.

For one of his nature, there creatures were hardly a meal; though the souls did much for his own gluttony and caused him to become at ease once again. Only then did he notice a familiar presence, a spiritual pressure which stirred something from within him- intrigued, he sensed out in a wide direction, but none held that reiatsu. He glanced around to be sure that no one was near enough to be messing with him, one could not be too careful in this world devoid of pity or safety.

Certain that this was no trick, he set out in the general direction that his "heart" was telling him to go, he didn't know exactly where this would lead but he was still wary every step of the way. The feeling that was getting louder and louder with every step, was telling him that he knew this presence from a very long time ago- a part of his darker past that he did not wish to think about often. Perhaps this was someone who served under him previously... but then why could he feel them without first sensing them? Another thought crossed his mind, a thought that he had only wished for at length on sleepless nights; it seemed ridiculous to hope for such a thing, but every passing second began to reassure him that this was likely what he was denying to himself.

To think you would be in a place this close to me..

He was speaking aloud to himself more than who he was hoping to see, fate was ironic enough- why should it surprise him if this was the truth of his feeling. He could only wonder why such a person would be around these parts, perhaps coincidence, or maybe she was intent on finding him. Whether to slay him or just say hello, Anamist did not know.

He leapt through the trees at a "walk" more than casual(For one cannot casually walk through tree branches), he wasn't excited or concerned- he was more intrigued to know the truth of the matter, but he couldn't deny himself that it was a pleasurable turn of events. He travelled a good distance before the impression upon him become stronger and he was certain beyond doubt that he knew who it was. Eden. He could feel her moving in his direction, nearly at the same pace as he; he knew there was no hiding and didn't want to. He let his reiatsu spike to give a signal to where he was, he didn't fear any beings in this area; most of them were just his food anyways- it was how he kept from going to the world of the living to feast on humans.

How things had changed from his old days, surely Eden would be surprised- though his mannerisms and etiquette were very much the same. He smiled to himself as he knew Eden knew where he was now; he sat atop a large tree branch and relaxed, just waiting for her to appear. He thought hard back on their last meeting and tried to discern what kinds of things she had liked, it had been so long ago that he had difficulty remembering- the only thing he could strongly remember was the tastes of those he had eaten.

He snapped his fingers and red reiatsu formed a silver tray with two glasses of red champagne, at least he could let her see that he was expecting her.

Moments later, mentally, I began to dwell upon the killing of that young Adjuchas a little bit ago. Yes...I had killed one of my own kin. Strange, was it not? It was not all too common for Hollow to sympathize and regret the taking of lives, no matter who or what they were. Yet, I somehow turned out different. I yearned for knowledge and truth where most yearned only to feed, survive or become stronger. For a period of time that I could not entirely comprehend, I had lived and I had seen a great many things. I have seen war after war, and then there were brief times of peace where civilizations would repopulate and rebuild. It was an endless cycle of life and death; such a cycle was impossible to stop, no matter how strong one may become. I came to the conclusion eventually that everything which retained substance in some form had to die in order for new things to be given life. Often times, I still wondered why this had to be the reality; why such a cruel natural  law, "survival of the fittest," had to ring true in any and every natural circumstance. I accepted that law a long time ago, while I was still human. Back in that time period, war was about as common as daily chores. There was nearly no time to rest and there was even less time to steel one's mind and heart so that one would not be overcome with fear and die at the hands of those that would be stronger than themselves. Reality was harsh. Yet, in the modern age, many beings of all kinds had grown soft to the concepts of said harsh realities. Many of the races, over the ages, had advanced in technology, agriculture, and other societal prospects. Because of those advances, it became easier for the races to live safely, which slowly but surely made them soft. Perhaps the reason behind their advancements was due to their fear of being swallowed whole and no longer wanted to live within the walls of reality.I was never able to sympathize with such ideas. I had lived constantly through harsh realities and concepts of "natural selection." Even though I preferred not to fight after becoming an Arrancar, I was not so naïve that I would refuse to fight at all. There were times where there was no other option but to fight. Sometimes, all one could do is fight in order to solve major problems. It was a part of reality. Something far too many had forgotten over the centuries.

As I continued to walk at a leisurely pace, I pondered such thoughts and how I had come to accept all of the realities that made themselves present though nature. However, before I could get much further in my deep, intellectual thoughts, I had stopped and realized where I was. I looked just ahead and saw the entrance to the eerie Menos Forest. A very dark place it was. The devouring hall where the Gillian hollows fought to take control in order to evolve and survive. Death was at every crevice in this dark forest. Even I had to remain cautious in such a place so that I wouldn't get surrounded. Having arrived at only the entrance, I concealed my spiritual pressure as much as I could in order to attract the least amount of attention from those who lurked in the dark forest.

However, just before I was about to take a step forward, I stopped again and I could feel my "heart" pounding. The familiar presence was very close by. Somehow, my memory of this feeling became far more vivid. After a few moments, I had finally realized who it was, though I was somewhat shocked that it took so long for me to realize it. The being I was drawn to was none other than Anamist Souigetsu, a fellow Arrancar whom I had met a little over 2,000 years ago. At that time, we had made a contract to seal our ideals into one. We had become bound by those contracts so that no matter what, we would assist one another in our ambitions, whatever they may be. Having finally found out who it was I was being drawn to, I found exactly where he was. I began to walk forward at a leisurely pace once again and smiled, knowing he would likely be the one who came to me rather than me to him.

Anamist did what he used to do when he desired to pass the time, he held his glass in his hands and twirled it to watch as the liquids within swirled about. It was only a matter of minutes now before Eden appeared before him, he silently wondered if she had remained the same in appearance. Chances are, she likely had; the identity of who a hollow was- was important to them on a fundamental base. Everything about their existence was chaotic and fraught peril and pain every step of the way. The fact that anyone survives and comes out on top as the dominant personality in the swirling mass of souls within the body - is a miracle itself. There had been cases where such beings; usually Arrancar who evolved- would be completely insane and only operate on the base impulses to eat everything.

Anamist remembered the few instances where he had either witnessed these births or ended the lives of such creatures; being so old was a blessing and a curse. Truly he feared such beings more than those of a more "sane" nature: often they were unpredictable and ignored pain, occasionally reveling in it.

His thoughts had veered off from their original intent, he wanted badly to drink the liquid from the glass, but he refrained because he knew that it was bad manners to indulge in food or wine without first offering such to the guests or proposing a toast. His thoughts paused again as his memory brought him back to that ageless day when he had performed the contract with Eden- the "spell" if it were called that, had enacted upon its own will after both of them had individually created the basis for the contract. Neither of them had expected the results of it and were both equally stunned when the spell took effect. Their emotions had been so close in sync that their desires had been synchronized and gave birth to the "miracle"

Neither of them had been prepared for the new feelings they inherited from one another; truly he had feared that his insatiable hunger would have provoked Eden into eating him then and there. The feelings he got from her, were more subtle and hard to understand versus the overwhelming primal hunger that he felt on a daily basis. After that event, their contact had become less frequent; only a couple hundred years passed before they no longer had been around one another- maybe their feelings had driven them away from being so strong? Now that feeling was drawing them together again, the possibilities swirled in his head like the red liquid in the glass did; so cohesive and yet chaotic but all part of one body... of one master plan.

He stopped when he knew Eden was so close it was almost unbearable to not acknowledge her. She walked casually beneath the tree branch he was sitting on, surely she knew he was there- she was waiting for the gentleman to speak first. He liked Eden, she was a unique breed of hollow: sophisticated and well educated; a lady even though her power was terrifyingly strong. He leapt from the branch and landed a short distance ahead of Eden and bowed low at the waist; both the tray and two glasses rested without being dropped or otherwise disturbed- his skills as a butler were unmatched.

So the lady Eden finds me once again; or is it that I have found you?

He smiled to himself silently, he so did enjoy a good conversation with this one; words were a specialty of hers, and he was one to always enjoy a good play on words.

Current Outfit w/o shoes (Maturity Warning):

I walked forward calmly toward the entrance of the Menos Forest, my "heart" beginning to pound more and more as I got closer to the tall, withered trees. Somewhere in those trees was Anamist, who was likely waiting for me. I wouldn't have been surprised if he had picked up on my presence as I picked up on his. The closer I was to the trees, the more I began to wonder how much he had changed and the more I began to wonder what he would say. There were many unknown factors regarding our first meeting after 2,000 years of living. How was he going to react to seeing me? Will he remember me by my looks, or will he take me for someone else and attack me? What will he think of my outfit? Will he think I'm a whore? Why the hell was I thinking that? That was the least of my worries. I dressed how ever I felt like, without caring for other peoples' opinions. On that subject, why did it matter ever what people wore? Was it really such a bad thing to wear clothing such as what I wore? I did not understand why it was an issue, regardless of getting stares from perverted men and/ or women. I wore such clothing simply because they were light, comfortable, and they showed off my body very well. I wasn't trying to look like slut. That had always pissed me off to no end. Anyway, the point at the present moment I was trying to make was that there was no logical reason for me to have wondered what he thought of me in an outfit such as the one i was currently wearing. The entire time I was bickering to myself in my head, I continued to walk forward at a calm and leisurely pace.

After a few moments, my mind finally decided to call it quits on the bickering and fall silent. When my mind fell silent, I noticed the gentle breeze that rushed against and past me. It was a very refreshing feeling, the cool breeze almost intentionally soothing my body and relieving tension from my muscles. The sand underneath my feet was a bit cold but it was soft and not uncomfortable at all. It would have been perfect if there was any noise at all, but it was dead silent. Hueco Mundo was always a silent place, aside from the random times Hollow fought amongst themselves. Suddenly, I heard feet touch sand and then a familiar voice followed the landing. When I looked ahead of me, it was a red-haired man in a very fancy suit, while holding what seemed to be a tray with cups resting on it. I knew just then that it was Anamist Souigetsu, the Arrancar I had traveled across Hueco Mundo to find. I then returned his first gesture with a similar gesture, though I had planned to say a bit more than he.

"Considering I traveled across the span of Hueco Mundo just to arrive here, I figure I could safely say I found you once again. It has been 2,000 years since the day we had met. You really haven't changed too much, except the fact that you are holding a tray. What is with the tray anyway? Is there a specific reason you are holding a tray? Have you changed in more ways than I can think of at the moment?"

So it was true, she had sought him out; whether she wanted to or not; Anamist wasn't sure. Her posture was that of a relaxed person and her voice still contained the somewhat sarcastic tone. He assumed she didn't mean him any ill-will, previously they had understood one another to the point where it was difficult to be near the other.

He noticed that her attire was quite different from before, she seemed more majestic and beautiful than last time he remembered her- being that be wasn't a being with a full potential of "morale" he cared little how others dressed- except when they looked like slobs or bothered to keep good hygiene. His most painful period of evolution was when he was still a hollow and an Adjuchas: both of his previous forms had been hideous and his nature had been quite gluttonous. Now it was different however, he had evolved into a humanoid form and was quite handsome; or so he assumed. Two thousand years had passed and not one thing about his appearance had changed; if only Eden knew that so much of the former Lord of Gluttony was gone, she might wonder if this was really the very same Anamist she had befriended so long ago.

It seems that in contrast, parts of us has changed over the last 2,000 years, your taste in clothes and my fundamental character.

He held out the tray of champagne and offered her a glass, it was a poor offering compared to what they had dined on the last time they met. Previously had been in his castle and served the best foods that one could not find in this forsaken world. Fortunately Anamist could create near anything he could fathom with his unique control over reiatsu; while champagne was not much- it served more sentimental purposes. The siver tray suddenly disappeared and Anamist held the glasses in one hand as he had offered one to Eden.

Once I only received from the tray, now I serve from the trey. Consider my former self a remnant of the past eras.

He paused for dramatic affect as he knew Eden would likely be studying him, wondering if she could ever again trust this unusual man before her. He expressed an insincere smile, he truly liked being around Eden, but if his character changes did not appeal to her; he wouldn't be so hurt by it so much that he would be shocked.

Parts of my former self remains, I still want to create order in this archaic world... it's just that I no longer wish to lead, I would rather serve as the butler. What about you, Miss Eden? Are you the same Eden from 2000 years ago?

He smiled to himself silently at the description he had described himself as; he had always dressed in such fancy clothes but favored the butler outfit- how fitting it was that his change in character was personified through his choice of attire. Not everyone could lead, but neither could they serve... or at least serve exceptionally. He shifted his weight to the other foot and subconsciously knew that it mattered not if his pristine uniform touched the dirt, even now his shoes were spot-free of dirt or grass marks. A thin aura of reiatsu was protecting his clothes to keep them from getting dirty; only unnatural force such as strength or spirit energy could break the thin membrane that was invisible to the eye or sense.
