Heatwave
Shuya nodded as Ika spoke, taking his words in. This was his path forward, and he would cling to it. The metaphorical door before him, so to speak, was beginning to open, and he would be the first to dash right through. "Yes Captain, thank you. I appreciate the feedback." He remarked, bowing quickly to show his thanks. Again, he knew that his Captain wasn't the kind to be bowed to, really, but he would have felt weird not bowing.
After that, to Ika's next question, Shuya shook his head. "No sir, I don't have anything to report. Thank you." He bowed once again, backing out of the office with a quick "excuse me."
Once outside, he closed the door behind him, and breathed a quick sigh of relief. He was always happy to get good news from these one-on-one meetings, and this one had happened to be even better than that. Perhaps he was even excited?
At the end of the day, despite the sour weather, he found his steps light and his attitude cheery. He was optimistic about what was to come.
