It was any really normal day for the taicho of the second division. There he sat behind his oak desk, same usual thing. Papers covering his desk, his feathered pen in hand, looking over simple reports from his officers. It was one of those jobs in the day you didn't like doing but must. Kind of like having to clean a toilet just less smelly. He let out a low breath as he started to look over the pages reading every little detail.

Patrol units reports where so dull lately, at least when he was writing reports for his captain he put in some flare. Letting out another dull sigh he tucked the paper into a folder. Turning to his left side he opened up a small file cabinet beside his desk, there he placed the folder in its proper area. There he had every report from every officer for the past few years. Just for save keeping if any of them broke the law he had there reports when needed.

It was truly a busy day, he was meant to meet a old friend of his. When he was in the sixth division. Oh the glory days he thought for a moment, he slowly rose from his seat, grabbing his trusty sword he placed it on his left hip. With that he slowly grabbed his jacket, putting it on with haste he was truly set to go. He was late and he didn't like begin late. Going threw the halls and walking normally truly felt a burden to him so.

With that he opened the window to his office, he would then step onto with a single foot, hearing his sliding door open, a young woman stood at the door step some what in shock from seeing her Captain trying to run away from his job.

"Taicho-san?"

Her voice was trembling un sure what to do, and what was truly going on. With a smirk Taisho nodded his head, winked at the young woman. "No worry's Kaito-dono. I'll be back in a flash!" With that he shunpoed away, his image fading away in the sun. There stood the woman looking at a open window. wondering what the hell just happened.

"He really needs to stop with that line"

Taisho shunpoed across the rough tops until he landed in a courtyard. The place where he was to meet the young man. He let out a low soft laugh shaking his head. "I need to stop saying that." He chuckled at his inner thought and looked around the courtyard. Not much people where moving around and it seemed he was on time. He just had to see if his guest or even 'date' would come.

While a Wizard could never be late, nor early, Eaon was no wizard. He had no time for magic, nor any tricks. Eaon was straight forward and calm, to the point, and his point would always be solid and controlled. As such it was impossible for Eaon to arrive when he meant to, unless he meant to arrive early. As such, Eaon made it a habit to never be late, and to always at the latest be on time. For Eaon hated the idea that he made others wait. This was a sign of respect for the other person's time because they made time for him, and respect was always required to be given to others. This particular day the person Eaon was going to see was someone he particularly respected, because he was honestly one of the few men that Eaon had never trained, and had likely never surpassed in power.

Eaon dressed nicer than usual today. His Shinigami robes were adorned in the finest of fashions, every single part of it dressed to perfection. His Zanpakutou and Wazakashi fastened in his belt perfectly. Eaon's hair too was tied back, something Eaon hadn't done since he was a much younger Shinigami and back before when he was an assassin. The most important part though as per usual was Chiaki's ribbon tied around his Zanpakutou's sheath. Eaon had considered wearing the ribbon elsewhere, however it was not a particularly cool day in the Seireitei and Eaon didn't want to get anything on Chiaki's ribbon causing it to lose the faint smell of her perfume.

Eaon knew most people knew there was some significance to the ribbon when they saw how much he cherished it. However Eaon had never explained to anyone who Chiaki was, what their relationship was, or how he'd come to own his most prized possession. The most anyone would know is that all who came close to ever touching it were dead or in general wished they were. It was special to him, and somethings don't need a story for the world to know it's off limits.

Once Eaon was ready he made off, he was in no rush and thus didn't rely on his Shunpo, rather he walked to their meeting ground. He was able to walk, which was rather relaxing, most people in Division Six knew Eaon as he tried to interact with them regularly. To Eaon loyalty and trust amongst the Division was its most powerful tool, and so seeing Eaon about was a common place. Thus no one stopped him or bothered him as he walked until he'd made his way to Taisho's meeting area.

Taisho would probably be late Eaon thought at some point. He usually was, however the man was busy. Eaon was always efficient at his work, finishing it when it came in and thus never letting it pile up. Taisho had more work, but Eaon remembered him being some what sloppy. It was just one of those things that you learned to expect from a friend. Sometimes they'd always be early like Eaon. Other times they'd always be late.

The fact of the matter was truly simple, he got there way to early cause he rushed. Maybe he should of truly walked and took his time, shot the breeze with some other shinigami. But no he had to use something to get here quicker. Walking around the court yard he searched for a seat and once he found a bench he sat in the very center. Cause he felt rude and was going to refuse and pretty girls or..perhaps boys sit there ass's beside him. Cause he had class and this meant he was a total ass hole some times.

His mind stated to gaze away in the past, thinking about the good old days when he was in the sixth division. How he hated having to clean rooms and dust things most the time. Though he did gain one thing from that. He rose his hand up to his face and began to slide two fingers over the scar. The memory of his first true battle against a hollow. Only to be waking up back here in the good old medical division. How he missed those days he pushed his body past the breaking point and blacked out.

Like one of those times when you get high so bad you just don't remember the shit you did. He let out a low breath looking up at the sun, feeling a gentle breeze past by he felt a reiatsu he new oh so well. A smirk covered his face as his eyes looked forward from where the man should be appearing shortly.

It had been months since he really had a good talk with the man. With Eaons dutys as a vice captain and Taisho's job as the head of the 2nd division he really didn't have that much time to himself. He was a soldier of the second division, that said he was left this division by a great man. He would serve as captain just as good but perhaps three times better.

Fixing his hand with a single hand he leaned back on the bench, His eyes closed as he started to enjoy the sun more. Perhaps later he could talk Eaon into a friendly spar. Though that never ended to good for either of them.

A soft breeze blew by ruffling Eaon's robes and skirting up his sleeve, bringing an unfamiliar refreshment to his wrists. Eaon normally had hand and wrist guards worn in order to protect him from cuts from other Zanpakutou, however today he didn't think it would be entirely necessary. That was the beautiful thing about occasionally taking time for one's self, Eaon didn't much enjoy fighting or killing, it was just his duty. So when Eaon had the ability to take time for himself without being ready to kill someone at the drop of a hat he took it. Peace of mind was a great asset.

Eaon spent a little bit more time wandering around the court yard looking for Taisho. It was an interesting time spent in a new place that Eaon didn't go to so often. Being a Shinigami of high rank, Eaon very rarely had time to enjoy such luxuries, however he probably did get them more than most. A Lieutenant was only ever as busy as his Division or Captain made him, and with Senna being new, and the relative amount of not doing that much going on, Eaon was in a situation where he could honestly just keep up on his work and not have to work any over time. The ability to work hard and still have enough free time to make it all worth while was a beautiful thing for Eaon.

When he finally found Taisho it appeared he was being lazy. Just sitting around lounging on some bench somewhere. He looked relaxed, not like someone who'd arrived late. Maybe Taisho was working on not arriving fashionably late to everything no matter what? Eaon didn't know, however he was happy to see his old friend again after some time apart. It wasn't that they didn't get to talk for years at a time, just rather they both lived in entirely separate worlds now from when they'd met back then, and even then things were still pretty different.

At the time Eaon was the sixth seat of Division six, and Taisho was the acting Lieutenant. Eaon was relatively new out of the Academy and he was still highly regarded as one of the best swordsmen around then as he was now. However back then Eaon was a little less known and perhaps even a little colder as know one knew about him, but he was more willing to to cut someone down for questioning his skill. Times had changed and now it was Eaon that did the questioning of anyone and everyone's skill whilst cutting down would be manslayers like himself.

"What is the world coming to when you arrive on time somewhere?" Eaon said as he approached Taisho. Eaon was usually rather informal when it came with dealing with people he liked especially outside of his normal working environment. Sometimes he thought it could get on Taisho's nerves as his whole deal was enforcement of something with his current station. However Eaon was never really at a point where he found himself particularly worried about that kinda thing. It was just the way he was and he didn't much care to change it.

Another soft breeze moved threw out the air messing up his hair as it blew. He took a soft breath. His eyes would open seeing Eaon walking towards him. His comment of course made him chuckle under his breath, though he missed his title but to that fact he did not care. They weren't really on duty so all around he truly did not care. With that all around said he picked him self off the bench and fixed his hair he would bow his head in respect to the man.

"Nice seeing ya Eaon-kun. It's been a while."

All though it all seemed like Taisho was off duty and relaxing his eyes told another story, for every movement anyone made in the courtyard he watched with his eyes making mental notes at what everyone he could see was truly doing. When your an agent of the shadows you can't really stop from working. A faint smile crossed his lips as he looked back at Eaon, he still seemed to carry that ribbon around where ever he went. He also started to keep his hair back more often. Or perhaps he always did that and he was just noticing now.

He would bring a hand up to his chin taping a finger over it lightly he let out a soft breath before speaking. "Tell me Eaon-kun, I hear you have a some what new Captain. How has that been teaching her the ropes. I had always thought you would of taken the spot of Captain. You do for sure hold the power and respect to hold it."

Taisho was indeed much older then Eaon and watched him grow threw out the ranks, even when he was transferred into the second division he was still able to send members of the stealth forces to keep eyes on his good friend. Just making sure he kept out of trouble, wouldn't need silly things happen know would we.

"She's an interesting one that she is. Very head strong, very passionate in her beliefs. However I find her to be a bit melodramatic for my tastes. She's still very young though and still has much growing to do." Eaon said in what he believed was a fair assessment of his Captain. It was an interesting time in all of the Seireitei in general as many of the newer Captains were much younger and much less experienced that in some cases even some of the Lieutenants or their predecessors. To Taisho's credit he was correct in that Eaon was much stronger and much more experienced in the field than his Captain, however nearly a eight hundred years of experience far eclipsed Senna's own. That couldn't really be held against her.

"Truth be told I was offered the position, however I declined it, a man with the ability to take lives as easily as I can should not be allowed to be in power." Eaon said reverberating his personal philosophies. Most people didn't like having one's beliefs shoved down their throats, however Eaon tried his best to live by his beliefs. Eaon was a trained weapon, and a weapon was only suitable to kill, not lead. That was the role Eaon felt he was destined to play as well as was obligated to play, and so he never actually made an attempt to try and be anything more.

"How's Division Two holding up? Kill anyone of any interest recently?" Eaon asked almost sarcastically. Eaon knew how it was though, he'd been a skilled assassin before becoming a Shinigami, which was probably the biggest reason he avoided Division Two with a passion. That life was a fast track to self destruction, most people who entered it who held things dear to them were consumed by it, and most people who lived it too long either died to it or ruined their lives over it.

Eaon could tell these laws even applied to Taisho. Before when Eaon had known him he seemed much more at ease, where as now Taisho watched everyone and everything. Anyone could be a target or someone come to get him or get into the Seireitei. It was a life of constant paranoia and knowing those who fell at your hands never knew peace, but died hating your soul with all of their being. Eaon couldn't stand the sin and the deceit, and Eaon had been a fine assassin. In fact the only scar or taint on his soul was one that most people never knew about. The significance of an item of importance from a relatively shadowed past that was shrouded in the darkness of mystery. To the Seireitei Eaon had been a doctor who at some point was trained in Swordsmanship and helped rid the Rukongai of a gang. To Eaon he was a doctor who'd become a swordsman and killed countless lives including his own for a cause that wasn't even really his to begin with.

Taisho chuckled softly hearing the comments coming from Eaon's mouth, he would bring his left hand to his side waving it slightly. Giving the jester at lets take a walk shall we. With that out of the way Taisho turned on the bed of his feet and began walking towards the gardens what weren't to far away, His eyes looking a head of them self's he let out a low breath.

"Most likley you captain is new at the job and isn't sure how to really control the power she know holds. Holding the seat of captain takes a lot out of you. I'm sure in time she'll see this and be a pretty good captain like the one before her. But if recall that captain did not like my remarks to well."

A smile came across his face a rare sight indeed, He would then walk up to a rose bush and smell a few of the buds growing off of the thorns. "I hardly ever kill anyone with my own blade anymore. I have my officers carry out my orders. That said I haven't got that rusty with my own personal talents at fighting."

A small glance from the corner of his eyes he looked at the Lt, To turn down such a spot he was some what shocked by it, but of course kept it under his most the time emotionless face. He stood up fully and nodded towards the man. Going back to there nice walk he would cross his arms over his chest taking in a deep breath.

"It must of been a high honor none the less hearing the words of taking the spot of Captain. But I think your a very skilled man and serve that division very well. Not sure what they would do with out you."

All in all Taisho was very proud to be Eaon's friend, he was a very skilled warrior even before he took up the role of Shinigami. It was Taisho's job to know everyone, he may not known them by face to face but he had so many reports coming in from other officer's he new most of all the Shinigami seated offices.

Eaon stepped forward with Taisho as he motioned that they go on a walk together. It was a nice day for it if only for the calming breeze that skirted around the Seireitei. It was, alas, the middle of Summer and still early enough in the day so that it felt like an inferno outside, however that little breeze that cooled the Seireitei was all that Eaon required to make the day enjoyable. It was a good reminder of what was important in life, the Summer's heat, the harvest in the fall, the first snow of winter, and the renewing of the whole cycle in spring. According to Eaon's master that was what made life worth living, and made Sake taste so good.

In the mean time Taisho mused with the politics of becoming a Captain of the Gotei Thirteen and all the responsibilities that came with it. In truth the Captain, despite being a figure head and responsible for their Division had very little involvement in actual operations, less some dire situation arise. These situations were very uncommon, however the best time to see a Captain was usually when you were at your Division Headquarters, and even then it was usually only your own.

"I have confidence in her ability to adapt, however I have to hope for the sake of the Division it comes sooner rather than later. Morale often hinges on the pride in one's leader and how much they respect them. Likewise she's also very young and as a large role to fill. I can only offer her advice and do my part in hopes it pays off." Eaon stated. He valued Taisho's inputs on situations like this greatly, and it did make him happy to hear that Taisho and the former Captain of Division Six didn't always see eye to eye on things. This was good, for Eaon was worried slightly about his and Senna's first meeting. They'd gotten off on the wrong foot in Eaon's opinion and while he didn't necessarily trust first impressions, he was one of the few that didn't.

The inter-divisonal relationship between The Captain and the Lieutenant as well as the leadership and their Division was, at its core the most fundamental trait of a well practiced Division. Both in ability in practice as well as execution, Divisional relationship inspired comrades to fight for each other as well as give the leaders the strength and charisma needed to march forward into an uncertain situation and win with it.

"It does relieve me to know you don't have to stain your hands with blood any more. I know in my heart I would likely have been much happier in life if I'd never picked up a sword to begin with. However now that I have and now that the sins of the past are on my soul I cannot put a blade down until I have carved my retribution into the chains of fate themselves." Eaon spoke as a lion hunting his prey in full force. Such was the nature of the man who held the seat of the Sixth Division. In battle Eaon was always to the point, capable of slaying countless foes before they could even scream. In private conversation like this, Eaon spoke honestly with his entire heart, because a conversation that one only half had was not worth speaking to begin with. A good conversation was much like the roses that Taisho smelled just before Eaon had spoken up, it grows and blooms beautifully when both people care and are honest, however if nothing is there it dies where it stands, falling victim to half truth and hyperbole.

Eaon then couldn't help but smile upon seeing and hearing Taisho's reaction to hearing that Eaon had turned down the offered Position of Captain. Eaon knew it was shocking, and he couldn't remember the last time that had happened, if it had ever happened before him. However Eaon was a man of principal and principals were something people had to always upheld, less the man lose himself to the world. In that circumstance to Eaon it mattered not if the man be a fierce killer or a weak scholar, a man lost to the world was a soul lost to its true nature and that was disheartening.

"I think they would be fine without me by now. Most of them I have trained additionally though I've not passed on my sword style. Any member of Division Six can hold his own in combat and that I am proud to say." Eaon said, his voice empowered with pride. It was one of the few physical traces that one could often find about Eaon's feelings towards being a Shinigami. He was known as a man who kept his attention to Seireitei largely quiet, and the world was oft kept unaware of his actions. However Eaon believed many of Division Six's fighters could best even Division Eleven's. That made him keep going and work hard to tutor and train the lesser members so that they too could one day live their lives to the fullest.

A chuckle left Taishos lips once again as he began to walk more, having his eyes move around the area, it was truly nice time of day and to Taisho it was very rare to even get out any more. So he was enjoying this even more, perhaps a good drink would do after there walk and chit chat. He listened to everything the young man was saying and nodded a few times under standing every little detail Eaon said.

"I'm sure it'll be soon that she'll under stand her post. Just pray she doesn't go over board with the laws. They are put in place for a reason, Your division is souly meant to keep the laws in tact. Along with my own division, we just branch way to much I find lately."

Taisho would rub the back of his neck with his left hand some what laughing under his breath as he looked up into the sky he sighed softly. "Sorry about that, went over board slightly." He let out another soft laugh and began to walk up a set of stairs leading past the 4th division.

"I'm pretty sure all those students you trained are going to be much more skilled with there sword if they learned from someone like you. I truly need to start to train my own men better hand to hand skills. And pass down the arts the old second division captain passed down to me. Just seems no one has the effect I had when i was training every hour of the day. Ended up there a lot to."

He brought his right hand to his side and pointed a single finger at the 4th division a they made there way past it. He new where he was headed a locate bar not to far from here. He needed a good glass of something. He was damn sure that his buddy also needed a drink.

"The first hollow I ever killed I clearly remember it, I cold shiver ran down my spin, was told by the other two offices i could get use to it. Funny fact is I'm very much use to killing. It's my duty to kill any traitor or any law breaker who I'm ordered to slay."

As they got close to the bar he stopped dead on and brought a hand to his face sliding his index finger over the scar on his face. "Memories they bring back joy..but also can haunt you to your death. How does a good drink sound to you?" Another smile crossed his face as he jestered once again to the bar, he new the owner and perhaps could get some free drinks and good food, that truly sounded that a fantastic plan.

"I hope so, the Division needs a strong figure head and if she gets her priorities straightened out she'll make a fine Captain I'm sure." Eaon spoke after Taisho finished his slight rant about becoming a new Captain. Senna would be a good Captain one day if she could get it through her head that while Division Six did handle the laws, sometimes people needed to be taken into consideration as well. Precedents were set in courts and Division Six upheld them usually, however Senna was of the pious opinion that just because she had the rank of Captain anyone who didn't feel the same as her was wrong. It was a dark way for a Captain to think, and it made Eaon particularly nervous.

As the two continued on their way they passed by the Fourth Division barracks. Due to his past as an alchemist and medicine man this was the only other Division that Eaon had really ever considered. A job in the Fourth would have meant a place away from swords and killing, and the blood of the battlefield. It was a place of hope and healing and for a brief time or two it was peaceful enough to where one didn't have to be a cold hearted warrior to be there. However Eaon was bad at Kido, and he was a swordsman. It was funny to Eaon that his entire life was based around the constant reminder that swords had ruined everything he could have had, and now all he had was a simple piece of fabric that smelled vaguely of white plum.

"Anyone who teaches anything is better than what a Shinigami learns in the Academy. Zanjutsu is a disgrace of a style, it made me sick when I was a teacher in the Academy and the fact people still try to sound threatening with it still makes me faint." This was but one of the many reasons Eaon too hated the Eleventh Division. They undermined true skill with whatever the farce they believed their styles to be. They were brutal, reckless, unintelligent, hostile, and overly prideful in their existence. To someone of philosophy and principal who strives for peace and calm as well as restraint on violence, their very Division seemed to be a layer of hell itself. Eaon was sure Taisho would remember that Eaon loathed Zanjutsu and Zanjutsuists. Almost everyone who could remember him as an instructor at the Academy did, and it was the sole reason Eaon considered himself a better fighter than most of the current Captains.

Eaon also said nothing of the matter of passing down his styles. Eaon refused to allow another person, Shinigami or otherwise to ruin their lives and taint their souls the way Eaon had done to himself. Eaon's world shattered, Eaon's life seemed often times moot and meaningless. If Eaon had not been married to his work as a Shinigami what reason would he have for going on? Eaon knew it was not his swordsmanship that led him to this path of life, it was his choices to get involved with people who knew he was a weapon to be used. However if Eaon couldn't learn a lesson without destroying his world what made him worthy to teach another that lesson? The answer was it didn't, while Eaon could make you a better fighter he could not pass on the style or philosophy of his blade. Eaon was unworthy of giving life to another slayer of men, nor another wolf in sheep's clothing.

"I've killed relatively few Hollows. I didn't spend much time in the World of The Living. My reputation got me out of grunt work until I was a seated officer." Eaon spoke as they continued. It was probably an unfortunate truth. Eaon hadn't killed many Hollows and by the time he was to a point where one might send him out to do so, they weren't actually a threat to him. Eaon never understood why the Hollows were such an issue. Yes they could interrupt the balance of souls, however everyone treated them as though they were the plague. Arrancar and the Espada in particular were humanish same as the Shinigami, which meant they could fight same as the Shinigami and even speak. It kept Eaon constantly curious as to their true nature. Were all of them blood thirsty killers and psychopaths?

"Well on that sinister note I feel as though I need a drink to lighten the tension. Besides Sake on a day like today would be nice." Eaon said not really caring anymore about any other work he may be given. While Eaon was a Shinigami, his work day was done. Now he could relax and simply be Eaon Norellia, which was something he enjoyed being able to be. A swordsman without rival who needn't ever draw his blade, because life was too short and could end too suddenly to always think about needing to be on the verge of death.
