 THE HUMAN APPLICATION Name: Michael Noctis Alias: Black Apparent Age: 29 True Age: 29 Sex: Male Personality: Black is a ruthless, calculating, stoic, emotionless, brooding, and cold-blooded killer who has committed many villainous acts in the line of duty. At least, that's what he'd have you believe. In truth, he is idealistic, and has good intentions. All he has ever wanted was to protect as many people as he can, and this ultimately drove him to attempt to kill off all of his emotions. He was, in the end, only partially successful, and this is evidenced by the pain one can constantly see behind his eyes. In the beginning, Michael wanted to be a hero, and save everyone he could. His father, on the other hand...His father was a former member of the Committee, one who abused his powers. He was Black's first kill, after he inadvertantly caused the death of his entire town. Michael, afterward, came to the realization that only by hunting and assassinating all evil beings like his father could he truly prevent such tragedies from occurring again. He lost all traces of youthful innocence after having spent his life going through countless battles while trying to obtain a utopia that could never be fulfilled. He feels no emotion from personal victories over his targets, seeing them as nothing more than successful taunts with calculated resolutions. In order to pursue his dream, he attempts to distance himself from his emotions, acting as the "machine that is Black." He has managed to become completely devoted to any duty without showing any emotional wavering, though he is prone to occasionally fall into moments of extreme emotion and despair. He tries to hold to the belief that there is no differentiation in sacrifice, that all life is equal and choosing the path leading to a smaller sacrifice is for the best. With a target that must be eliminated in order to save the world by obtaining the Grail, killing one thousand people to save at least five billion more should be easy for him CHARACTER APPEARANCE Height: 5' 8.9" Weight: 147.7lbs Physical Traits:  FIGHTING STYLE General Fighting Style: Black's fighting style involves using his guns and abilities to hit as hard and fast as possible, and utilizing the environment to his advantage, caring little for collateral damage. Who cares if you blew up an entire apartment complex, so long as your target is dead? His particular abilities are incredibly unconventional for a spiritually-aware being, and excel at killing those with spiritual powers. Strengths: Firearms Use (Zanjutsu), Speed, Reflexes Weaknesses: Durability, Stamina, Hakuda PRIMARY STAGE Ability Name: Thompson/Center Arms Contender Custom Description: The Contender is a special piece of equipment compared to his other weapons, a one of a kind weapon only for his use that he has favored on many battlefields. It is 444 mm long and in its base form weights 1700g, with his modifications bringing the total weight to 2060g. possible. Its grip and forearm are carved in walnut, making it reminiscent of a dagger in its scabbard. The only visible mechanical parts are the trigger and the hammer, with neither a cylinder nor a slide on the simple exterior, making it similar to the percussion pistols used in the last hours of the Middle Ages. The lack of complex parts between the barrel and trigger allows for high accuracy. Black's is customized with a fourteen-inch rifled barrel made for hunting specifications and fitted for .30-06 Springfield bullets. The cartridge of the bullet has a bottleneck structure, and its size and power level on an entirely different level from a handgun bullet. The .30-06 is 10% stronger than the .308 Winchester rifle bullet, and even surpasses the hand cannon class of a Magnum bullet. Due to the specialized firing pin that he fitted, each shot is capable of effecting a spiritual being in a manner similar to a Cero, and two of them may be fired per post. Ability Name: Severing and Binding Description: Due to the unique nature of Black's reiatsu, any wound created by his Fullbring passively slows down regeneration and healing by a single post. This does not stack. Ability Name: M1911A1 Description: A rather interesting pair of weapons that Black had commissioned. They were the Marine Corps' loyal sidearms for years, and are beloved by many even now. The guns are made with special material that can block zanpakutou and harm spiritual beings, as well as the bullets for them. Each clip holds up to 12 rounds and the bullets are explosive, but not much (a mere six inch area of effect) and are as strong as a standard bala. They are accurate up to 100 yards, and each has four clips per thread. Both guns are also semi-automatic. That cannot be changed. Ability Name: Origin Bullets Description: The Origin Bullets are some of the deadliest ammunition one could ever find. They are considered Conceptual Weapons, painstakingly made out of Black's own reiatsu focused until it takes solid form. The result is a bullet that embodies his nature of "Severing and Binding". Upon impact, they do not do physical damage, and leave the impact site black, appearing as if suffering from necrosis. The true damage is to the pathways along which one channels reiatsu. For three posts after being struck, the target must use twice as much energy to form their attacks, and upon the third post, they take a Hado #99 worth of damage due to their own energy burning them from the inside out. This attack is considered a final resort, and after it's realization Black becomes fatigued, and is incapable of combat for the rest of the thread. SECONDARY STAGE Ability Name: Innate Time Control Description: This ability, unlike it's name would suggest, is not true manipulation of time. It is, instead, the ability to alter his body's "time" by accelerating his nervous responses and sending energy to his muscular system in a loop. He is then able to react and fire off a single attack at Shunpo-Speed by channeling the gathered energy into his weapon once per post. This may be used in conjunction with any of his firearm-related abilities. Ability Name: .30-06 Spirit-Killer Description: The round used in the legendary M1 Garand, these bullets have been modified for use against spiritual targets by way of runic arrays, with casings of pure Macedonian silver. They are then consecrated and imbued with enough energy to kill an Adjuchas in a single shot. These bullets do Gran Rey damage on impact, with a three post cooldown. Ability Name: Winchester Model 1901 Description: Designed when the Model 1887 was proven not to work with modern smokeless powder, the Winchester Model 1901 looked almost the same as it's predecessor, with minor differences including a strictly 32" barrel, and availability only in 10 gauge. This particular firearm has been modified heavily, and is made with special material that can block zanpakutou and harm spiritual beings, as can the bullets. The maximum effective range is ten yards, and the closer you are to it, the more damage you'll take. Think of it as a bunch of standard bala launched at once. It is not automatic. That cannot be changed. It has a maximum of four magazines, with each magazine holding ten rounds. Ability Name: C4 Plastic Explosive Description: Alright, if you don't know what C4 is, you live under a rock. The only difference between ordinary C4 and that produced and used by Black is that it can affect spiritual beings due to being infused with his reiatsu. Each brick does Cero-level damage, and explodes remotely with the use of a detonator. One may be planted per post, and can be either selectively activated or blown all at once. HYPER-MODE Ability Name: Time Alter - Double Accel Description: This is an advanced version of Black's Innate Time Control, that allows him to generate and run even more energy through his body. He is capable of making two Shunpo-Speed attacks per post. This may be used in conjunction with any of his firearm-related abilities. Ability Name: Time Alter - Square Accel Description: Black overtaxes his Innate Time Control, which allows him to fire off four simultaneous attacks, each one at Shunpo Speed. This may be used in conjunction with any of his firearm-based abilities, and disables any Time Alter ability for the next post. Ability Name: Timer Alter - Triple Stagnate Description: Each time Black hits an opponent, their Speed is reduced by 10%, due to the reiatsu beginning to tear apart their bodies. This stacks three times, up to a maximum of 30%, and each lasts for three posts. Ability Name: Walther WA2000 Description: The Walther WA2000 is a super heavyweight, semi-automatic sniper rifle of the highest class and performance that is the pinnacle of the latest electronic techniques. It costs $12,000 due to only being one of the 176 units produced. It is a rifle with a compact size measuring a little over ninety centimeters in length with the bullpup structure of the gun barrel with a gas-operated magazine measuring at a length of sixty-five centimeters. It fires a .300 Winchester Magnum cartridge that has an effective range of up to one thousand meters. While it is not equipped with its standard Schmidt & Bender telescopic sighting device, Black has installed a pair of extra-large electronic optic devices as a special scope mount fixed in parallel above the barrel and on the left flank. The unit on the main side is the AN/PVS-4, the latest night vision scope used by the US armed forces that has been banned from being exported to prevent the leaking of technology to other countries. It uses a super sensitive video camera that acts as a light electrical amplifier with a lens, raising and displaying a perfect brightness. Acting as an electronic "owl eye", it multiplies the range of vision by 3.6×, allowing it to view up to six hundred meters under the moonlight or four hundred meters in starlight. The second unit is an Elcan Specter IR thermal weapon scope installed as sideways support. It is also electronically equipped for night vision, but displays the subject's heat pattern on the image display rather than acting as an intensity amplifier. It can perceive temperature variations from -5 to 60 °C up to two hundred meters with an 1.8× magnification. Each shot fired from the Walther is equivalent to a Cero Oscuras, released in a burst upon impact, and has a four post cooldown. BACK-DROP History: Michael's an assassin and mercenary.
