The howls of menial hollow and menos filled the air as the blood moon illuminated the skies below, blood and terror filing the streets whilst the seireitei's forces present scrambled to control the situation at hand. Whether it had been bad luck or a horrific decision on his part to take this particular shift in this town on this day was becoming rather questionable at this point; however, the shinigami was reluctant to loom over such subjects. In either case Hitsuyona found himself to be the superior officer, and attempted his best to adhere to responsibilities attached to such on such an occasion. "Shift your attention towards the menos and call for reinforcements!" He carried his voice valiantly as he shifted his focus towards a menos who would begin to charge a cero just to his northwest, aiming his blade with haste as a yellow hue would soon illuminate. "Okasen." The blast shot forwards at a short distance tearing through the mask, just as another tear in the sky would appear.

The superior shinigami on site quickly shunpos in the general direction of the oncoming reinforcements only to expect the worst. His gaze set indefinitely upon the forming gargantuan as it would begin for form, as he waved for his followers to protect the parameter. "Dispose of the lesser hollow and contain the Menos, it will surely devolve from here, we will need to report back to the seireitei asap!" He wasn't entirely sure of the situation currently unfolding, but hollow sightings had become increasingly present within the world of the living recently, and he wasn't trying to have a mass casualty occur on his watch. He'd let out a reluctant sigh before the next wave of enemies press through, but he was sure that the strength of their numbers would only grow as the amount of shinigami present increased.

The next wave was announced in a violent fashion, an ear-piercing screech rang out from on high as pressurized blood nailed one of the errant Shinigami preparing the defences. Hitsuyona would find himself lucky to have not been targeted first, as the beam tore through his comrade with little resistance to impact a building opposite only to drill through that too. It was easy enough to find the attacker by following the beam to its source, a lone man with a grinning half-mask and sadistic smile etched into his features.

Unsatisfied with only one kill, the creature turned the beam towards the rest of the defenders in a sweep across the area. Carving out a deep gouge in anything it passed. Thankfully the beam was slow to aim, and a Shinigami of Hitsuyona’s calibre was more than capable of avoiding it. His comrades may not be so lucky, however.

Tao let his clasped hands fall to his sides once the attack crossed the zone, leaving a trail of destructing in its path. Showing off an unnatural speed, the arrancar utilized sonido to step into the fray and immediately knock another of the less experienced Shinigami aside with a vicious knee. Not an attack they’d be getting up from any time soon.

Apparently unconcerned with being surrounded, Tao took a moment to drink in the bloodshed. “Pretty quick, aren’t ya?” It spoke with a cocky tone to its voice. “Real fight starts now, Shinigami.” It seemed uninterested in the weaklings around, instead opting to beeline right towards the leader of this operation. Lashing out with apparent glee into a series of punches and kicks, hardly styled but enough to keep anyone on their toes.
