His ankles were yoinked towards Rena as she grabbed him and yeeted him towards his own Zanpakutou, causing him to quickly yank the chain again and make it twirl around a nearby lamp post and out of the way of colliding with him. He gently pulled on the chain causing it to shrink back to a more manageable size as he picked up the weapon and twirled it in his hand, deflecting the Sokatsui away from him.

As the smoke began to clear, Gaspard realized Rena was being patient today and waiting to see how he'd fared, so he figured he'd take her up on the offer and relax a bit, throwing up his free hand towards her. He used Bakudo 1: Sai on her and quickly followed it up with Hado 4: Byakurai aimed at her legs so as to slow her down and not hurt her too badly.

If the Byakurai hit, he'd follow it up with a Hado 33 of his own; if it missed, he'd probably be too busy dealing with her own counter attack by now rather than continuing his assault.

Rena didn't like Bakudo 1. Not because it could hold her, but because it was more annoying than dangerous to her at this point in her life. Her hands got moved behind her back and she spiked up her reiatsu as she tried to free her arms, however Gaspard fired a Hadou 4 hoping she would be too distracted to care, care she did though as she kicked her heel forward, without moving from her position and kicked her boot heel straight into the Byakurai using the shielding bakudo Escudo on her foot to protect from the lightning itself. Effectively allowing her to disperse the attack harmlessly using her initial kick movement.

She crossed her arms in front of her and grinned as she waited, which paid off because a moment later he fired hadou 33 back at her like she had at him a moment ago. This time she was facing the man as he fired the kidou and she just kept standing there with that same ol grin as it slammed into her. Her reiatsu was still mostly spiked up by this point, so the blow was cushioned by the gap in spirit power between the two, but she was damaged somewhat anyways, being slightly smokey and singed looking but was relatively fine.

"Good. We should stop there. I don't wanna get to ramped up."

She moved to Gaspard and patted him on his left shoulder, "Good job Gaspard. Keep it up eh?" she moved on to make it seem like she was heading to the fourth division before stopping and motioning for gaspard to follow her, "Well come on. We got injured, we should report to the infirmary and take the day off."

Explained why she took the hadou 33 point blank. She wanted an excuse to not have to work just because Gaspard would have been gone.
